You’ve been holding onto so much ~ let this be your space to finally breathe...
Based in Guelph, Ontario. Bracken Bloom Counselling & Psychotherapy offers compassionate, evidence-based mind-body mental health support.
I operate out of the Shared Space 10C at 42 Carden St., Guelph, for in-person sessions (conveniently located in the heart of downtown Guelph), as well as offering virtual sessions across Ontario.
I specialize in supporting women's mental health, anxiety, neurodivergence, chronic illness & pain, perinatal & postpartum, infertility, grief & loss, and life's transitions.
My passion is helping women in a trauma-informed manner navigate some of life's most difficult and least talked about transitions and help them find themselves. My approach draws from several modalities, including Parts works (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and somatically informed therapy techniques that help you build awareness, grounding, and safety in your body. I will work with you to create a stronger mind & body connection and teaching the nervous system that it is okay to feel safe.
My intention is to have a space where you can feel heard and seen in whatever way you need that to be.
You can be you here.

A RPN Psychotherapist is a Registered Practical Nurse with specialized training in mental health. Drawing on my nursing background, I provide holistic, patient-centered care that supports your emotional, physical, and psychological well-being, integrating therapeutic techniques to help you heal and thrive.
I like to look at the whole person sitting in front of me. I believe that every part of us has something to say. I like to look at all parts of your life (sleep, nutrition, exercise, your day-to-day) so that, by looking at all the pieces, we can more easily find the connections we need to heal.
Somatic therapy is a gentle, mind–body (holistic) approach to therapy that recognizes how stress, anxiety, and our past experiences, traumas are stored not just in our thoughts, but also in our bodies. So in somatic therapy, instead of only talking about what’s happening, it helps you notice physical sensations like tension, breath, or restlessness, and uses various techniques to support nervous system regulation. By working with both mind and body, this approach can help you feel calmer, more grounded, and better able to respond to life’s challenges as you approch them throughout.
I specialize in women's mental health: perinatal and postpartum mental health, pregnancy and infertility support, perimenopause, neurodivergence (including ADHD), anxiety, chronic illness and pain, grief and pet loss, and major life transitions. My passion is helping women navigate some of life's most difficult, often not talked about, life transitions in a warm, trauma-informed, holistic way. I am not afraid to talk about the difficult things. Together, we'll develop a plan that meets your individual needs & goals.
Many private insurance plans cover psychotherapy or counselling services, but every plan is different. Some insurers currently only cover providers registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the College of Social Work, so please confirm with your provider that services from a Registered Practical Nurse, Psychotherapist who is registered through the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) are eligible for reimbursement before booking your first clinical session.
A free initial 15-minute virtual consultation will be held to see if we are a good fit. Individual psychotherapy sessions (60 minutes, in-person or virtual) are $150. Brief counselling sessions (30 minutes) are $75. A sliding scale spot may be available; please don't hesitate to ask.
Fees are subject to change. For most current availability and fees, please see my booking portal found HERE
The frequency of counseling sessions with Bracken Bloom Counselling & Psychotherapy will depend on your individual needs and goals. Some clients may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may attend bi-weekly or monthly. Healing and growing is a journey, it's important to be patient with ourselves.
Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that I am covered under your specific insurance plan if you have private coverage. I am registered with The College of Nurses of Ontario, with the registration number BC759130.
